Structure

The work load of the project was organised in seven Work Packages (WPs), each one assigned with a number of Tasks.
WP 1: Identification of opportunities and bottlenecks related to cooperation and knowledge transfer between public research and industry
Knowledge transfer between public research and industry in EaP countries is very unsystematic and is not based on models or methodology but on ad hoc solutions, non-generalised, and not intended to be able to be adapted to other purposes. Often, the result of research is not used because it is not known by the ones they are intended for. This Work Package aims to create a stakeholder map (list) within the societal challenge secure, clean and efficient energy and develop a Best Practices Methodology for the knowledge transfer between public research and industry in the societal challenge secure, clean and efficient energy, to bridge the gap between research, innovation and business, based on EU experience and on a survey conducted among the stakeholders.
  • Task 1.1: Identifying and analysing technology transfer stakeholders in the societal challenge secure, clean and efficient energy
  • Task 1.2: Survey among the technology transfer stakeholders, where we have identified collaboration between universities and entrepreneurs, to identify opportunities and bottlenecks in the societal challenge secure, clean and efficient energy
  • Task 1.3: Development of a best practices methodology, based on EU experience to bridge the gap between research, innovation and business (based on results of T1.2)

WP 2: Developing Innovation Support Services to foster Innovation Partnership in the societal challenge 'secure, clean and efficient energy'
In EaP countries, international partnership as well as national partnership in the societal challenge secure, clean and efficient energy are still in an early stage, not to say almost non-existing. Thus, developing innovation support services to foster innovation partnership between the stakeholders with initiative in the field of energy efficiency and renewable resources is a primary goal for this project. These support services will be developed according Eastern Partnership countries national energy plans, Danube Strategy, Black Sea Strategy, Baltic Sea Strategy and EU Set Plan and will aim to contribute to achieve a Common Knowledge and Innovation space between the EU and EaP countries through enhancing cooperation between research and innovation actors on both sides.

  • Task 2.1: Analysis of existing and planned policy strategies related to the societal challenge addressed (national energy plans, Danube Strategy, Black Sea Strategy, Baltic Sea Strategy, EU Set Plan)
  • Task 2.2: Development of specific services in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy in a Bio-based Economy based on methodology of T1.3 and KIC and DTC services
  • Task 2.3: Identifying opportunities for the existing and eventually new Technology Transfer Centres Centres in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy

WP 3: Improving of competencies and mutual learning
This WP is not only intended to teach the participants on how to deal with the issues in bridging the gap between research, innovation and business creation, but also to let stakeholders from different domains interact and work as a team. The participants will be selected from the SMEs and researchers who are focused on energy efficiency and renewable energy in a bio-based economy. Besides the elaboration of training materials and the actual training sessions, this WP will also offer the opportunity to share experiences and because participation to the trainings is allowed to organisations involved in other projects implemented in this CALL, experience will be shared in a more sustainable way. Training materials will be available not only for intramural trainings but also online for e-learning. There will be a series of company visit, for exchange ideas and experience and a series of 24 Innovation Audit Reports will be generated, along with a report regarding Technology Transfer Environmental Analysis.

  • Task 3.1: Training for researchers: Innovation and Knowledge Support, IPR Management
  • Task 3.2: Trainings for SMEs/Start up's entrepreneurs: Innovation Management, Transnational Partnership
  • Task 3.3: Training for multiplicators: Train the trainers

WP 4: Pilot activities, implementation of the services
Activities in this WP are needed in order to implement the services developed in WP2 and by this to validate those services. Thus, it will increase awareness among the partners and networking related to the immediate impact of the NoGAP project.

  • Task 4.1: Implementation of the services related How to write a Business Plan
  • Task 4.2: Implementation of the Technology Offers/Technology Request generated by the Project
  • Task 4.3: Implementation of the Consultancy activities related to IPR in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy

WP 5: Promoting networking in order to create a bridge between research, innovation and business
Networking is one of the main solutions in bridging the gap between research, innovation and business, in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy. Meetings, workshops, exchange of ideas and solutions for mutual issues along with guidance and coaching offered by the more experienced participants will help reaching the purpose of this project.

  • Task 5.1: Twinning and staff exchange
  • Task 5.2: Creating an energy efficiency support networking to set-up and foster innovation partnership, and to give support after the end of the project

WP 6: Communication and dissemination
One of the project goals is to facilitate communication between stakeholders and to raise the awareness regarding the technology transfer between research, innovation and business in the societal challenge secure, clean and efficient energy.

  • Task 6.1: Website and newsletter
  • Task 6.2: Logo, Promotion Material and Publicity
  • Task 6.3: Project Handbook and Final Summary Report
  • Task 6.4: Exploitation Plan - Communication Plan, Press Releases
  • Task 6.5: Final Event

WP 7: Management

  • Task 7.1: Administrative project management
  • Task 7.2: Steering Committee Meetings
  • Task 7.3: Financial & accounting management
  • Task 7.4: Cluster activities - networking with other initiatives. Exchange ideas with other projects (R2I, INCO-NET, BILAT - ENP)
